Greg earned a PhD in experimental condensed matter physics in 1992 from the University of California Davis.  He then went on to lead several successful medical laser product introduction technical teams at Coherent Medical (now Lumenis) and Cutera.

Gain Consulting Services was founded by Greg in 1998 to assist the University of Michigan early-stage spinoff IntraLase, Inc.  with what became the world's  first market introduction of a femtosecond laser medical device, which eventually led to an $800M acquisition by Advanced Medical Optics (now part of Abbott Laboratories).

Since that success, Greg and Gain Consulting have helped many companies to develop, introduce and launch new medical devices based on lasers or photonics (see a partial list of Gain clients here).   Continuing to work in the academic sphere, Greg regularly publishes works in the field of laser applications and medical laser therapies.  See Greg's complete CV/resume here.
